Y21 Studios – Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: May 2025
By accessing or using our website, attending our classes or events, visiting the café, or engaging in any services provided by Y21 Studios, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These apply to all visitors, users, and participants.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in any Y21 Studios activities.
1. General Information
1.1. Y21 Studios offers a variety of creative classes, events, and community-based experiences. By registering or attending, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1.2. We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here and apply immediately. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Booking and Payments
2.1. Booking Requirements
When registering for any class or event, you must provide accurate and complete information. Bookings are subject to availability. You must be 18 or older to book unless booking on behalf of a minor.
2.2. Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept card payments through our website or in-person where available.
2.3. Confirmation
You will receive a booking confirmation via email. Please review it carefully. If not received, contact us at hello@y21studios.com.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1. Cancellation by You
To receive a full refund or reschedule, cancellations must be made at least 120 hours (5 days) in advance. Later cancellations are non-refundable.
3.2. No-Shows
Missing a booked class or event without cancellation is considered a “no-show” and is not eligible for a refund or credit.
3.3. Cancellation by Us
If we must cancel or reschedule an event, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full refund or credit toward another event.
3.4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method and may take 7–10 business days to process.
4. Personal Responsibility and Liability
4.1. Health & Participation
You are responsible for ensuring you are in appropriate physical and mental condition to take part in our classes or activities. Please consult a healthcare provider if needed.
4.2. Liability Waiver
By participating in any activity, you acknowledge and accept that you do so at your own risk. Y21 Studios, its staff, instructors, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.
4.3. Personal Belongings
Y21 Studios is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto the premises. Please keep your valuables with you at all times.
5. Code of Conduct
5.1. Respectful Behavior
All participants are expected to behave respectfully. We reserve the right to remove anyone engaging in:
Disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior
Harassment or discrimination
Verbal or physical abuse
Damage to property
No refunds will be issued in these cases.
5.2. Substance Use
The use of alcohol or drugs is not permitted during classes or events. Anyone found under the influence will be removed immediately and banned from future participation.
6. Child Play Area Terms
6.1. Parental Responsibility
Our child-friendly areas are designed for play and creativity but parents and guardians are fully responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times.
6.2. Unattended Children
Children may not be left unattended in any part of the premises. Y21 Studios staff are not responsible for childcare or supervision unless explicitly stated (e.g., in a pre-booked kids' camp).
6.3. Safety & Conduct
Parents are responsible for ensuring their child plays respectfully and safely. Any child showing aggressive or unsafe behavior may be asked to leave the area.
7. Café Terms
7.1. Service & Food Safety
Allergies or dietary requirements must be communicated clearly when ordering. While we do our best to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation.
7.2. Consumption
Food and drinks purchased in the café are intended to be consumed on-site unless take-away is specified.
7.3. Respecting the Space
Please treat café furniture, equipment, and other patrons with respect. Children must be supervised at all times.
8. Body & Soul Studio (Wellness Space)
8.1. Participation & Waiver
All movement, yoga, or wellness-based activities are voluntary and at your own risk. Please notify the instructor of any medical conditions before participation.
8.2. Clothing & Hygiene
Appropriate, clean clothing must be worn. Participants are expected to maintain personal hygiene and bring their own mats or towels where required.
8.3. Studio Use
The studio must be left in the condition it was found. Misuse or damage to the space or equipment may result in charges or loss of access to services.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
9.1. Use of Information
We collect personal data to manage bookings and communications. Your data is stored securely and never shared without your consent, unless legally required.
9.2. Your Rights
You have the right to access, amend, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@y21studios.com for any data-related inquiries.
10. Legal and Disputes
10.1. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
10.2. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage informal resolution first. If necessary, legal matters must be brought to the appropriate court in Ireland.
11. Room Hire – External Facilitators
11.1. Booking & Payment Terms
To hire a room at Y21 Studios for private classes, workshops, or events, a 50% deposit is required to secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days before the scheduled booking.
Alternatively, full payment can be made upfront. The remaining balance (if deposit only) must be paid no later than the day of the event.
11.2. Use of Space
Hirers must use the space responsibly and respectfully. This includes:
Leaving the room clean and tidy after use (including removing rubbish, wiping surfaces, and returning any moved furniture).
Not using or disturbing any items, tools, or materials belonging to Y21 Studios, including those on shelves or in storage, unless given prior written permission.
Ensuring no paint, glue, or other materials are left on floors, walls, or equipment. A cleaning fee may apply if the space is not returned in good condition.
11.3. Responsibility and Conduct
External facilitators are responsible for the behavior of their attendees.
Noise levels must be kept reasonable and respectful to other users of the premises.
Any damage, theft, or misuse of the space or items will result in the hirer being held liable for the full cost of repair or replacement.
Y21 Studios is not responsible for any personal belongings lost, damaged, or stolen during the hire period.
11.4. Insurance and Safety
Facilitators hiring the space are advised to carry appropriate public liability insurance, especially if hosting activities involving movement, tools, or materials. Y21 Studios holds no responsibility for injuries or incidents occurring during externally run sessions unless caused by negligence on our part.
12. Events, Markets, and Private Parties
12.1. General Participation
By attending or booking a Y21 Studios event — including Open Mic nights, Flea Markets, tasting sessions, or private art parties — you agree to behave respectfully and adhere to all staff instructions and venue rules.
12.2. Food & Allergies
Food served or brought into events (including by vendors or private parties) is consumed at the participant's own risk. We take no responsibility for allergic reactions or dietary impacts. Please inform staff of known allergies at the time of booking.
12.3. Vendor & Facilitator Responsibility
All external vendors or hosts must leave their area clean and undamaged. All personal equipment and goods are the responsibility of the individual vendor. Y21 Studios is not liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
12.4. Children’s Parties
Parents or guardians are fully responsible for children during any birthday parties or private bookings unless drop-off is clearly arranged in advance. We are not liable for injuries resulting from unsupervised play or failure to follow staff instructions.
12.5. Deposits and Cancellations
All private event bookings require a deposit to confirm the date. Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days before the event. Final payments are due on or before the event date.
13. Right to Refuse Submissions, Participation, or Access
13.1. Submission Review and Approval
Y21 Studios reserves the right to review and approve all submissions for events, exhibitions, performances, or vendor spaces. We may refuse participation or publication of submitted content, work, or proposals that are deemed inappropriate, offensive, unsafe, misaligned with our values, or not suitable for the intended audience.
13.2. Right to Refuse Entry or Participation
We reserve the right to refuse entry or continued participation in any class, event, or activity to any individual who:
Violates our Code of Conduct
Engages in unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior
Fails to follow staff instructions
Poses a risk to themselves or others
This may apply to participants, performers, vendors, facilitators, or guests. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.
13.3. Discretionary Grounds
Refusals may be made at the sole discretion of Y21 Studios staff or management and do not require further explanation beyond reasonable cause.
